Ngu Hanh Chi Xa: Exclusive 2025 Red Envelopes at Mercure Danang
Celebrating the Year of the Snake 2025 with an Exclusive Red Envelope Collection from Mercure Danang French Village Bana Hills
To celebrate the Lunar New Year of the Snake 2025, Mercure Danang French Village Bana Hills is delighted to introduce its exclusive red envelope collection, “Ngu Hanh Chi Xa” (The Five Elements of the Snake). A harmonious blend of illustration art, Eastern philosophy, and the iconic architecture of Ba Na Hills, this unique collection promises to bring guests a refined and memorable festive experience.
The Symbolism of the Five Elements and the Spirit of Ba Na Hills
The “Ngu Hanh Chi Xa” collection features five distinct designs, each representing one of the Five Elements: Metal, Wood, Water, Fire, and Earth. Every element is expressed through stylized snake motifs seamlessly intertwined with some of Ba Na Hills’ most iconic landmarks and architectural masterpieces. These structures are not only symbols of pride for Ba Na Hills but also embody the exceptional experiences that Mercure Danang French Village Bana Hills offers its guests.
From the earliest sketching stages, the snake imagery was thoughtfully integrated into the renowned attractions and architectural landmarks of Ba Na Hills. This artistic approach serves as both a tribute to the destination and a heartfelt acknowledgment of the generations of people who have dedicated themselves to discovering, developing, preserving, and elevating “Nui Chua” (the Mountain of the Lord). Their enduring spirit continues to shape Ba Na Hills’ legacy from the past and present into the future.
A Creative Journey Filled with Challenges
The creation of the “Ngu Hanh Chi Xa” red envelope collection was completed within an ambitious timeframe of just two weeks. From sourcing the artist and developing the concept to refining the illustration style, designing the artwork, and producing the final product, every stage was carried out with dedication and meticulous attention to detail.
One of the greatest challenges was finding the perfect balance between Eastern and Western artistic influences. This harmony was achieved through thoughtful compositions, stylized motifs, and decorative border patterns that seamlessly blend the aesthetics of both cultures. Every detail on the envelopes carries a distinct artistic identity and deeper symbolic meaning.
Artistic Vision: A Harmonious Fusion of East and West
The Five Elements are interpreted through compositions inspired by the structure of tarot cards, creating a visual dialogue between Eastern philosophy and Western artistic traditions. Symmetrical patterns, frequently incorporated throughout the collection, further reinforce this cultural balance.
The color blocks, tonal variations, and layering techniques were carefully designed to emulate the distinctive characteristics of Risograph printing, preserving the charm of traditional screen-printing while optimizing production efficiency in terms of both time and cost.
The geometric motifs featured at the top of each design draw inspiration from the Aztec civilization, serving as visual representations of the Five Elements. Each snake illustration is developed according to three corresponding elemental principles: the snake itself embodies a specific element, is accompanied by ornamental motifs symbolizing that element, and is integrated with an iconic architectural landmark, attraction, or object associated with the same elemental characteristic.
An Exclusive Collectible from Mercure Danang
The “Ngu Hanh Chi Xa” collection is released in a limited edition and available exclusively at Mercure Danang French Village Bana Hills. More than a traditional Lunar New Year gift symbolizing prosperity and good fortune, this red envelope set is also a valuable artistic collectible for those who appreciate creativity, culture, and meaningful design.
